The Eight and Forty Foundation was founded in 2014 to support children with ongoing chronic illnesses, many of whom share characteristics with the children supported under Salon National's Mission statement.

The Children & Youth program supports several organizations that provide assistance battling respiratory diseases.

The American Legion Child Welfare Foundation was created in 1954 to contribute to the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual welfare of children and youth.

The 8 & 40 is rooted in supporting the medical community specifically those professionals directly involved in respiratory illnesses in children.
